FRAN can do ONE

It's 9.00am and FRAN is just around the corner.

I'm getting slightly nervous about this as I've not meet FRAN.

I have heard she can be a little difficult to work with and time consuming.

But I pledge to put my all into this and greet her with an open mind and heart.

Everyone needs a fair shot and let there story be told.

Got to go back to coaching.

Nige

PS. I hope my wife doesn't read this I could end up in big trouble.

You can't fix being stupid

I spend 6 days a week helping people recover from injuries and love see the light bulb moment when a clients see that they can have a more active lifestyle.

But being stupid in high heals performing a dead is asking for trouble.

Have a look and let me know your thoughts.

What's better sitting or standing at work.

A subject that came up this morning while speaking with a client after the training session who suffer from a bad back.

she mentioned that her back is worse when seated at her work desk.

Which can be for up to 9hr (sometimes longer) being a graphic designer to reach dead lines

I mentioned that i seem to get more down standing because when i sit using the lap top my rids on the right side hurt.

Yes I know posture but I coach / teach and over the years have used a computer less and less since Uni.

Unless researching for something even then I try to keep it to small amounts of time because I'd rather coach / teach or go for a run.

Then bang looks what's just pop into my inbox this afternoon from precision nutrition.

A blog post on the very same subject.

Happy reading.

A day in review but not finished Yet.

Starting of at 6:20am with the morning routine with kids and breakfast.

Moving on to a home PT session at 7:30.

Back to the studio to teach Pilates 9-12 finishing with a top weight session in the gym with Robyn.

"Boy" does this girl dig in and find the hidden strength in training.

The afternoon and early evening was spending time with the children before I kick of revision work reading Anatomy Trains.

Like physical training you've got to keep up with the physiology and Anatomy if you work with people who have injuries and want to improve the situation.

That how I roll on a Tuesday.

It's Made a difference...

It's one month on since I decided to take part in the Tough Mudder 2014 and im starting to see the training is paying off with an improvement of 1 minute of my mile time.

It's all about the small improvements towards July.

So I'm on course for January.

February will see an increase in distance yet continuity in the gym with 2 crossfit type sessions and 2 heavy sessions.

I'm excited to see the difference each month brings.

The down side is its cold and wet which bring back memories of my old military training instructor shouting.
"If it isn't raining! It's not Training!"

Certainly made you mentally stronger.

Big wallet and back pain!

While driving my kids to the play gym I recalled a story a client total me about this miracle cure from back pain his boss had.

See his boss drove to and from work every back day for upto an hour.

I must say not my ideal start to the day but needs must. .

Anyhow he been suffering with on going back pain for quite some time with no progress.

Until it was observed that after a treatment he placed he's wallet in his back pocket. See he'd been sitting on the wallet while he drove to work.

God knows how he managed to sit and drive.

He was quick given the advise of putting the wallet in a different pocket.

Low and behold the back pain started to go.

In fact like a miracle over night it seemed.

See the wallet was comproming the pelvis and the spine adapted to this causing the pain and discomfort.

Once the pelvis was in a better position everything else fell into place.

Problem solved..

On the next post it's all about tight hamstrings :- Is this good or bad

Got to go the kids
Need a brink after all the running around.
